YOU[R]SEASON
IN TUNE WITH THE SEASONS WITHIN AND AROUND
as the cyclical nature of seasons surrounds us every second of our lives, whether in our bodies’ cells or in nature's cycles, adapting to these changes in rhythm can sometimes be exhausting and often we feel imbalanced during the process.
rebirth and death are essential to life's cycles, so how do we surf along these waves and stay balanced all the way through?
together with you, your body and your mind, we would like to explore the seasons within you and around.
YOU[R]WINTER
HALF-DAY RETREAT
Winter is the season of deep rest and renewal.
As the world quiets and the days grow shorter, nature invites us into a space of stillness and introspection. On the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, we have the chance to honour the cycle of darkness and light — to pause, reflect, and nourish our inner world before the return of the sun’s warmth.
Winter calls us to slow down, embrace the calm, and tap into the wisdom of stillness. It is a time to turn inward, listen to our body's whispers, and replenish our energy for the seasons ahead. Although the surface may seem dormant, life below is active and vital, much like the deep waters of winter, where we can find both quiet and profound renewal.
The YOU[R]WINTER is a half-day retreat that is thoughtfully designed to support you in navigating this season’s qualities of rest and reflection. We’ll blend gentle, grounding practices with moments of deep restoration to help you honour your body’s need for rest while reconnecting with your inner vitality.
YOU[R]SCHEDULE
16:00 Breathwork + Somatic Practices
We begin by grounding ourselves in the present moment, tuning into the quiet energy of winter. Through breathwork and somatic practices like tapping, shaking, and sighing, we release tension and awaken a sense of inner calm.
16:45 Yin Yoga
In this yin practice, we’ll focus on the water element, supporting the kidney and urinary bladder meridians, which govern our deep reserves of energy. Slow, mindful postures invite us to release and soften, mirroring the gentle flow of winter’s waters.
17:45 Snack
18:15 Self-Massage Workshop
Using the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we’ll guide you through a gentle self-massage to stimulate and nurture the kidney and urinary bladder meridian points, enhancing your body’s natural flow and vitality.
18:45 Sound Bath
We close our time together with a deeply restorative sound bath, allowing the soothing vibrations to wash over you, easing any residual tension and guiding you into a state of profound relaxation and peace. The healing sounds will help you integrate the practices of the day, leaving you feeling balanced and renewed.
